Buyer's guide
Eight products clinic owners in India actually choose between, compared on the things that decide whether patients get booked: the languages they speak, WhatsApp, booking into your schedule and what it really costs.
We read each vendor's own website and pricing page on 24 October 2026 and wrote down only what they publish. Where a vendor does not publish something, the table says so rather than guessing. We make one of the products on this list, Shielva Sense, and it is listed with the same facts as everyone else.

How to choose
Count the calls that are not in English. If many patients mix Hindi and English, or call in Tamil, Marathi or Kannada, check that the receptionist handles that language on the phone, not just in a chatbot.
A receptionist that only takes a message still leaves your team calling everyone back. Ask which practice software or calendar it books into, by name, and whether it holds the slot during the call.
Most patients in India read WhatsApp before SMS or email. A booking confirmed on WhatsApp, with a reminder the day before, is what cuts no-shows.
Patients already have your clinic number. Check that you can forward it rather than printing a new one, and what a new Indian number costs if you want a separate line.
Compare the monthly fee, the minutes included, the per-minute rate after that and any setup fee. A low monthly price with an expensive per-minute rate costs more for a busy clinic.
It must hand urgent callers to a person straight away and never give medical advice. Ask how you define what is urgent, and what it says when it does not know.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to patient phone numbers and call recordings. Ask where recordings and transcripts are stored and who can access them.

FAQ
Of the vendors that publish prices, ConnectAI's voice receptionist is ₹800 a month plus ₹4 a minute, The Baap Company includes 300 minutes in a $24 per user suite, and Shielva Sense is $367 a month with 500 minutes, built and run for you. Several others do not publish a price. Compare the per-minute rate as well as the monthly fee.
Yes. Every India-focused product here handles Hindi on calls, and several handle more: ConnectAI lists eleven Indian languages and CallMissed claims twenty-two. Test it with a real call in the language your patients use before you commit.
It covers the calls your team cannot take: during procedures, at lunch, after hours and on Sundays. Your staff still handle walk-ins, billing and anything the receptionist hands over.
Only if it connects to it. Most products book into their own calendar, Google Calendar or software with an open API. Ask for your practice software by name before you sign up.
It should not, and you should check that it will not. A good AI receptionist answers questions about timings, doctors, fees and appointments, and hands anything clinical or urgent to a person.
