Visual conversation design platform
Voiceflow lets a non-engineer draw a conversation. The question is who redraws it every time the business changes.
First, the fair part
Voiceflow is a strong design tool. For a scripted journey with a known path (onboarding, a qualification script, a guided troubleshooter), a designer can build and iterate without waiting on engineering, and that is real value.
Where teams hit the wall
Every edge case adds a branch. A year in, the flow that one person designed is a wall of nodes nobody wants to touch, and small changes carry uncomfortable risk.
Real customers ask things off the map. A designed flow either dead-ends them or falls back to a generic reply, and both feel like talking to a form.
The cost is the integrations behind the boxes, the tuning after launch, and somebody owning it when a booking silently stops writing to the calendar.
The actual difference
Voiceflow gives your team a canvas. We give you the outcome: grounded answers for the open-ended questions, explicit flows only where the business genuinely requires a fixed path, and we own both.
| Voiceflow | Shielva Sense | |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | A design tool and a runtime | A working agent, run for you |
| Off-script questions | Fallback or dead end | Answered from your knowledge, with the source cited |
| Who maintains the flow | Your designer | Us |
| Integrations | You wire them | Included in the build |
| After launch | Whenever someone opens the canvas | Weekly tuning from real transcripts |
| Best fit | Scripted journeys with an internal owner | Open-ended conversations you cannot fully script |
How it goes
The total demand on your time from first call to live agent is about ninety minutes. That is the whole point of paying somebody to do this rather than buying a tool and doing it yourself.
One call. What gets asked on the phone, what a good lead sounds like, which questions you are tired of answering, where bookings live.
Agent design, the telephony, the number, the prompts, the guardrails, the CRM and calendar wiring, the escalation path to a human. All of it on our side.
We hand you real recordings from a test line, not a slide. You tell us where it sounds off and we fix it before a single customer hears it.
We watch the transcripts, catch the questions it fumbled, and tighten it every week. When something breaks at 2am it pages us, not you.
FAQ
No. Those flows are a specification of how your business actually handles a conversation, which is usually the slowest thing to extract. We read them, keep the logic that holds up, and rebuild the parts that break on real traffic.
Both, depending on what fits. We are not religious about the underlying provider. We pick per project and tell you what we picked and why. What you are buying from us is the build and the running of it, not a licence.
That is a common starting point. We audit what exists, keep whatever is worth keeping, and rebuild the parts that are not holding up. You are not obliged to throw work away.
Yes. Prompts, call flows, integrations and configuration are yours, and we will hand them over if you leave. We do not hold your agent hostage.

Tell us what you are trying to do. If Voiceflow is the better buy for your case, we will say so on the call.
We will not put you on a nurture sequence. If it is not a fit we say so and that is the end of it.
